Mr. Siler: I am sad to announce that Mr. Siler's last day at Bullock will be February 17th. We will gather for his send off on Thursday, February 16th at 3:30pm (after his bus returns). Mr. Siler will be sincerely missed. Mr. Siler's kind heart, hard work and heart for kids will be greatly missed.
Student led conferences: Student led conferences will be held on February 16th from 5:30-7:00pm. Please see the Lighthouse Team reps with questions about the evening.
Behavior management: The following resources were shared with me this week in regards to classroom management . There are some good tips and resources.

PLCs: February's focus in PLCs is student engagement. Please discuss how to know if your students are "tuned-in" and engaged instruction. Share strategies.
- Reflective questions: Who is doing most of the talking? Who is doing most of the thinking? Is the engagement grade level appropriate? Is guided reading comprehension instruction connected to whole class comprehension instruction? If math, is error analysis part of instruction? Are there multiple opportunities for summarizing with talking and writing?
Please remember to review the item analysis from the quarterlies or common grade level exams to determine areas to reteach and/or review as a team.

RtI: 3-5 RtI this week in Ms. Stone's room February 14th starting at 2:45pm.
AVID: There is an AVID training session being held on Saturday, March 11th. Teachers will get a $100 stipend. Please register on SchoolLink.
Retention: Forms can be found here. I will not consider retention unless these steps have been followed.
Instruction: Reminder...see Ms. Spaulding or Ms. Schlott about details for the creative writing project with the high school.

Monthly focus: Public Victories (Habits 4-6)
Leadership day will be April 7th.
- Applications:
- Feb. 14th Taylor will give us the number of positions for our grade level and the names.
- Feb. 27th Need to have all interviews completed.
- Feb. 28th Announce who will be helping.
All teachers should be greeting students at the door each morning.
Don't forget about nominating the "leader of the week" each week. The leader of the week can come celebrate their success each Friday from 2:00-2:20pm by celebrating the principal's prize bin. Also please remember to continue to nominate and showcase our engineers as a special reward for those students that go above and beyond to live our mission.
