- Testing plan can be located at https://goo.gl/QbpXcQ. Carefully read the document as it contains pertinent information and logistics for testing.
- Extend 1 testing will be completed Monday in the office across from Mrs. Perrell. Normal schedule will be followed.
- ELA will be held on Tuesday, June 2nd. Math will be held on Wednesday, June 3rd Makeups will be June 4th-10th. Read to Achieve will be on Monday, June 8th with makeups on June 9th.
- ALL 3rd thru 5th grade students will report directly to their classrooms Tuesday and Wednesday. Breakfast will be brought to each class shortly after 7:45am by our dining hall staff. Please remind students Monday afternoon they need to come directly to the classrooms.
- ALL 3rd thru 5th grade classes will eat lunch in their classrooms Tuesday and Wednesday. Please go thru the serving lines and proceed quietly back to class. Trash bags will be placed in your mailbox Monday afternoon.
- Habit 7 classes and Recess will be on hold until an all call is made by admin on Tuesday and Wednesday.
- Second and third grade will switch lunch times on June 2nd and 3rd.
- Committees: We have worked through our committees for next year so that everyone can serve on ONE committee and have a "big rock" for which they are responsible. The document located at https://goo.gl/8kk2bN summarizes the committees for the coming year. You will notice that many of our committees are remaining the same, but the focus of the committee has been streamlined to three or four "big rocks." Please review the committees and descriptions and decide where your talents and skills can be best put to use. I will be posting the committee sign-up in the staff workroom and we will discuss tomorrow in our staff meeting. You will choose your first and second choice. Classified staff members (except bus drivers) will also serve on committees. For those staff members that choose a "big rock," but still want to support another initiative or committee that option will be provided to you as well. Choice and voice for all.
- Retention paperwork: If you have been considering retention for student, please make sure that I have the completed retention paperwork by June 4th so that a final decision can be made and communicated before the school year's end.
- Videos: Please remember that we have a form located in the "technology" folder of the staff handbook to request to show a video in your classrooms. Please be sure to follow that process to show videos.
- Awards and events: Please remember to find leadership opportunities for your upcoming awards. Think outside the box. Allow students voice and choice. This is a perfect place to showcase student talent and the impact the Leader in Me is having on our school culture. The less the adults are "in charge" the better.
- Some ideas:
- Greeters/escort
Parent sign-in leader
- Introduction to the event by students (this is possible at all grade levels down to kindergarten)
- Students reading pieces they have written reflecting on the year
- Students singing
- Student made invitation to awards
- Textbook inventory: Please be sure to complete the text book inventory that Mrs. Perrell shared by June 10th.
- iReady diagnostic: Students in K-2 should be wrapping-up the iReady diagnostic by June 1st. I will assign the 3-5 diagnostic on iReady once EOG testing is complete.
- Year end checklist: You can find the year end checklist at https://goo.gl/PjNVRL. Please complete the year end checklist before leaving for the summer (hard copy was also placed in your box). Please make sure an administrator checks your room before you head-out for the summer. We also want to make sure we say goodbye to folks. :)
- AIG materials collection: All materials should be handed-in. Thanks all.
- Painting reminder:
- Remove all items taped to the walls.
- Remove all adhesive materials from walls.
- Clear off all storage above the cubbies.
- Move all furniture and items to the center of the room.
- Please store all computers left in the classroom in safe location (they cannot be left out).
- Library schedule:
- Library is closed from June 1st until the EOY.
- Laptops will be collected on June 8th and 9th. Please enter your name on the schedule shared by Ms. Ashworth.
- Staff supply list: Please use the form located at https://goo.gl/PnnqYa to request teacher/classroom supplies for the 2015-16 school year. We will order supplies based on the requests made. Grade levels, EC, Habit 7 and ESL please submit requests through the grade chair or a central point of contact. We will provide access to supplies throughout the year. Please submit your requests to Mrs. Kennedy by June 5th.
- Student supply list: Please send me the student supply list for the 2015-16 school year by June 3rd. Please use the template provided to grade chairs.
- End of year Celebration: We will be having our End of Year celebration following lunch on June 11th. All are invited to attend. Like last year, we would like grade levels/teams to prepare a little skit, song, poem, etc. to celebrate members of our Bullock family who will be leaving (i.e. Mr. Burriss's translation skit by ESL. So funny!). Anyone is welcome to prepare a special story to share with the group about anyone who is leaving. This will be a time for us to celebrate together.
- You are almost there!
